Children with cancer need more than medical treatment—they need joy, connection, and activities that help them feel like kids. This November, Global Prevention & Health Foundation is launching Brighter Days in Tiny Hands, a comprehensive hospital visitation program designed to bring comfort, learning opportunities, and therapeutic healing to pediatric cancer patients in Vietnam.
When a child receives a cancer diagnosis, their entire world changes. Hospital rooms replace playgrounds. Medical procedures interrupt school. Fear and uncertainty become daily companions. But healing isn't just about treating the body—it's about nurturing the spirit, maintaining hope, and preserving the essence of childhood even in the most challenging circumstances.
Brighter Days in Tiny Hands addresses this critical need by bringing therapeutic activities, educational resources, and tangible support directly to children's cancer wards in Hue and Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon).
Our November 2025 program includes:
Therapeutic Activities:
Educational Support:
Comfort Items:
True to GPHF's mission, Brighter Days in Tiny Hands embodies our holistic approach to cancer support. We recognize that healing happens not only through medical intervention but also through emotional connection, creative expression, mental engagement, and community care.
This program is where our three pillars converge:
We're seeking support from compassionate, reliable individuals and companies who want to contribute to the well-being of children facing one of life's greatest challenges. Every donation—whether financial support, educational materials, or volunteer hours—directly impacts a child's hospital experience and recovery journey.
Building on Our Foundation
Our March 2024 visit to Duc Son Pagoda Orphanage taught us the power of presence, the importance of listening, and the impact of culturally-sensitive, relationship-based support. We're bringing these lessons to Brighter Days in Tiny Hands, ensuring that our hospital programs are designed with input from medical professionals, families, and the communities we serve.

This program represents more than a hospital visit—it's a promise to children and families that they're not alone, that healing encompasses more than medicine, and that even in the darkest moments, there can be light, laughter, and hope.
As we prepare for November 2025, we're filled with the same joy and determination we felt during our March 2024 orphanage visit. We know that small acts of compassion create powerful ripples. We believe that every child deserves moments of happiness, regardless of their medical circumstances. And we're committed to bringing brighter days to tiny hands that are fighting battles no child should have to face.
"Children with cancer need more than treatment—they need joy, connection, and the chance to still be kids. Through Brighter Days in Tiny Hands, we're committed to providing exactly that: moments of light in challenging times, and practical support that makes a real difference in their healing journey." — My Linh, Board Member
